Baked Spaghetti

This stuff is better than Lasagna.. and without the WHITE SAUCE!!

Ingredients

2 Small onions chopped

1 Small green bell pepper, chopped

1 Small can sliced mushrooms

2 tablespoons Olive oil

6-8 cloves Minced garlic

2 pounds Ground beef

1 Carrot, shredded

3 tablespoons Oregano

Freshly ground black pepper

1 teaspoon Salt

1 pinch Sugar

1 pinch Nutmeg

1 (14 ounce Can) diced tomato sauce

1 can Tomato paste

1 pound Package of spaghetti, cooked

1 pound Sharp cheddar, sliced thick

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 pound Mozzerella cheese

1 Large stick pepperoni (optional)

Preparation

saute onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots in olive oil until tender.Add half the garlic half way through saute. set aside. Add ground beef to pan with little oil with rest of gralic. add oregano, salt and pepper. add veggies back to the pan and cook beef completely. Add diced tomatoe sauce, tomatoe paste.

Simmer for 25 minutes. add pinch of sugar and nutmeg.

Add cooked spaghetti and mix as though serving. pour half of mixed mixture into a greased baking pan. top with sliced cheddar cheese. Add remaining mixture on top and place the mozzerella and parmesan. you can add the pepperoni sli8ces ontop..but cook it first in teh microwave for 2 minutes. clean from the grease with a papertowel and then place it on the mixture 5 minutes before the baked spaghetti is ready out of the oven. bake the spaghetti 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

I fixed this recipe for my fiance last night. We had a few of his buddies eat with us...I got three more proposals on the spot ;). This is an awesome recipe...even I was impressed with how well it turned out.
